Their shared experiences and mutual passions have only strengthened their bond, making this role as Best Man a perfect reflection of their lifelong friendship.

After college, their adventures continued with Ron visiting California and John exploring Philadelphia, maintaining their close friendship despite the distance. Over the years, their conversations have ranged from their mutual love for anime to engaging discussions about pressing social issues, reflecting the depth and versatility of their relationship.

Ron and Darryl's friendship began in Pre-K, where they quickly became best friends and remained inseparable throughout their school years, eventually growing their circle into what is now affectionately known as 'The Family.' Their bond endured through young adulthood, and one of their most memorable adventures was a Pacific Coast Highway road trip in 2016. It was during this trip that Darryl offered invaluable advice that played a pivotal role in guiding the groom to this very day.


Dr. Darryl Powell passed away in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and wisdom. In honor of Darryl and the close friends who have been a significant part of the groom’s journey, Dr. Lisa Parladé will stand in the groom’s party, paying tribute to their enduring bond and the special place Darryl holds in all their hearts.
